And here, we have the final page of chapter one, and Sans will at LAST be getting some answers......but here is where I'm taking a break! A month long hiatus, I'm going to be focusing on myΒ Surreal-tember Challenge . I have personal projects I want to work on as well, so I'm not sure if I'll go back to Undersaga in October. If anyone wants to see this project continue from this point, say so in the comments!

I am looking forward to seeing Sans get his answers. So far, my guess is that Karma is from another universe, and was somehow able to observe this Sans' universe. Upon seeing that he was at the mercy of a Chara turned hostile, she decided to enter his universe and help him, somehow taking over Chara's place. They're still in the same genocide timeline Karma entered, and for some reason Karma is unable or unwilling to reset and bring everyone back to life.

Mm, some good thoughts. Karma already explained being from another universe in the prologue, prompting Sans to be exasperated over needing to deal with 'alternate realitiesΒ as well as alternate timelines'.Β
Now, I only ever planned to draw up to chapter three, which sets the story up to the point where the characters, motivations, and situation are all introduced. After that I wanted to do some written pieces for key points of the story. Because of this, something you mentioned that's not quite right will never actually show up in the comic portion, so I'm going to address it here. Karma didn't take over this universes human, the human just left. Waited till Sans fell asleep and walked passed him. Karma isn't able to RESET to before she existed in the universe, and she didn't show up until everything was already over. Chapter two is going to be all about Karma, but in Chapter 3Β we'll learn more about Sans and the world we're currently in. Its not something I've ever seen another comic do, so I hope I have the gumption to go at it for another year and get it out.
The rest of your guesses are mentioned in comic, but...not for a while. Thanks for all the comments on pages, I love getting to discuss little details people notice or theories they come up with^^.

Thanks for the clarification. I haven't read anywhere near all the comics, fanfics and AUs, but this IS a concept that I've never seen used before. I look forward to seeing how it all plays out! Especially given that the murderous human is apparently still out there.

I've seen two 'pacifrisk meets genosans' stories...one in where..."Z!Frisk", who'm I don't know, shows up WITH Z!Sans just in time to save a genocide run Sans's life, and the other one...discontinued sadly, by..."scotchtape" on tumblr, I think? It was basically, just as Frisk is sparing Flowey and Chara is about to kill Sans in two separate timelines, they switch places. Its really neat but I think the author gave up on it. A discontinued comic by "scotchtape"... that sounds familiar. *Checks* Yup, that's the one I thought it was. I was disappointed when I realized it was probably never going to continue. Which is a pity, because that idea had SO much potential - especially with Frisk having to deal with the fact that the only Sans who knew and loved them was dead. Everyone else was already friends with the surviving Sans, but the only Sans Frisk has left is a stranger.

I feel like that's taken care of by the 'dreams'. This sans knows something, at least, of the world he's in now, through those dreams. He's not a total stranger, and wont have to remain one for long. I think there would be more problems between Sans and Alphy's, Sans and Paps, and Sans just trying to come to terms with the 'holy shit this is my own damn dust on my hands' moment he was about to have when the comic flopped.Β

That's true, but I think there are still experiences this Frisk had with "their" Sans that won't be fully recaptured. Unless the surviving Sans' dreams covered pretty much everything, there'll probably be a lot of moments when Frisk starts to talk with Sans about an experience they shared, only for him to stare at them blankly, causing them to remember that the original Sans from that timeline is dead.
It is a pity the comic flopped right before that realization. There were some major character and story moments that were about to happen when it got discontinued.

Thanks. There ARE only two chapters of Undersaga that I plan to actually draw, and Chapter two: Karma, should't be as long as chapter one...but it WILL be mostly in colour so...I'm not sure. We'll see how September plays out.

I have a question does frisk still have determination in there soul?

My headcannon is that DETERMINATION is an emotion, and thus renewable. So at this point Karma (as this Frisk goes by) is lower on DT than is normal for her, but with a little rest, or some sort of 'thing that needs done now' situation, she'll recover. She's got more DETERMINATION than many Frisks do anyway, due to things that would be explained in Chapter Two: Karma.
