okay, I think most of the colouring in this one came thanks to the background-pic I used; it's an old pic I googled up years ago while researching photo-reference for sewers... I tried to look it up, but somehow didn't find it again, so...Related content

yeah, although I'm not the biggest fan of 3-D animation, but this one looks promising!
And I've always wanted to draw a Turtles pic, so there, the moment had finally come to do so!

Even though the lighting has been proving wrong, it's still tons better than what I could do, so I still say ooh. Your colors always make me happy. However, I think a bit of shine on the swords could definitely amp it up a bit, and the resolution of that bg... ouch. Ouch. It's like something from my digital recordings of old fifties movies.

yeah, well...that bg...in this one it REALLY was both curse and revelation...
as for the colours, well, I just wanted to do some cel-shading, but then I went on and on and so I haven't really thought it through from the beginning...but I'm still happy how it turned out...

LOL I hope you don't mind, but I'm actually colouring this right now. I might stop seeing this, it's excellent. LMAO we even have the same light source, to a point. Weird. The bg really adds to the atmosphere.

little critique. The lighting can only create a shadow like that if the light source is right up against the the sewer opening.
Other then that the mood is nice.
and I know you said that you used a bg image, but that's something that you really got to work against. atleast you probably could have painted the bg sketchy to match it up color wise and then used the blur filter to get it to this point with out right using another image in your piece. It'll lead to not relying on other images to aid your piece.

Yeah, using a photo bg is not really what makes the artist's pride... in fact, I just wanted to do a little Turtle-Sketch at the beginning, then, I thought about colouring him up with some cel-shading, ten I rmembered that pic which I found has a nice mood, and which is something more dark than what I usually do; so finally it became like a little exercise and thephoto helped me out a bit as a reference... but I see what you mean!

Thanks alot! At the beginning, I only wanted to do cel-shading, to get a more cartoony look..but then I remembered that pic I put in the background and thought I had to adapt the colouring and shading...
