My look at some things in life:
Tests. They are hard things that are thrown in our path to Heaven. They can range from something as serious as death to something more simpler like rain stopping you from going shopping. God tests us to see how we will react in a situation. Here's my notes on tests:
God will test you in life. Though it seems like he's so far away, he's right behind you the whole time. It may be hard, but God is just testing you. If he didn't test us it would look like this: A teacher giving you a test, and then giving you all the answers. It completely defeats the purpose of the test. God wont walk you by hand. No, he will only guide you from behind. You still make the choices. Tests might be hard, but God is right behind you, and if you run into trouble, he'll help you. You just have to believe and trust in him. Plus, as a teacher teaches you, God will teach you to. You can read the bible for help, it has ALL the answers to your tricky situations. God's not going to leave you helpless with a test. If you listen to what he is saying( when i say saying i mean like this: God is telling you that you need to be kind, so he sends a kind person your way to help you and tell you about how to be kind. When someone says that God told them something, they mean that he told them something through actions and events in their life. There is a rare event that God actually DID say something to them. I had that happen to me once, and trust me, you can't ignore it. So that's what someone means when they say that God told them something)Anyways, if you listen to what he is telling you and actually think about it and act upon it, you'll blow through the tests easily with an A+ Heaven. Reading the bible is like studying.
