Description Hi! Long time no post. When it’s too noisy or too exhausting to be on any other social media platform, DA's been the place for me to upload things. It’s nice because there's really no pressure to become popular or anything here. It’s good to be able to come in and out after long periods of time, which I don’t think works on most platforms nowadays. If there’s a social media platform where people can wait decades for content, let me know and I’ll meet you there lol

In recent months, I’ve retreated to smaller circles, looked for new subjects to draw and focused on actually attempting to refine technique. Though, It’s a little difficult since work is tiring and I end up sleeping or watching shows instead. Even then, it’s one of the few things in my life that I'm freely able to play with which is why I keep coming back to it. It’s also fun, which is something we need more of in life.

Today's drawing is a spin on an old fairy tale. The prompt was to draw a futuristic version of a well-known story. Here, Goldilocks has been reimagined as a scientist working in microscopic environments, investigating extremophiles . She lives in an alternate future where overpopulation is causing an issue and scientists have looked into finding ways to make room by investigating spaces where organisms have shown to exist in impossible conditions. She's seeing whether the goldilocks principles  can exist in these spaces and if humans can exist here too. Tardigrades are also called "sea bears" , which is also a thing and is the second aspect of this work. Anyways, it was a fun prompt to think about that I'll probably revisit in case I run out of ideas or something.
