I got it from the modeling section of my local hobby lobby ^^ Well, more like modeling section: Diorama section. It's a powdery stuff that is made to look like grass I don't remember the exact name though For this project I mixed it with glitter, too ^^

Yes, it was a spray glue stuff ^^

I tried diluting the project glue that i bought to go with it, and tried to spray it on top, but it only held some spots together. When i tried to dump some of the excess rocks out a huge piece of the grass fell out and everything got mottled together.

oh dear ;u; I hope you can get it fixed - I bought a spray glue myself, I think it was made by the same company that made the grass actually ^^

Me too. Thankfully I hadn't used all of the grass powder stuff; i still have about half left. So i'm going to try again. Although since the glue stuff got all over the inside of the globe if made it cloudy. So now i'm using a different one. It's bigger, so that's okay.

Question: Did you just pour the loose grass powder into your jar, or did you do some kind of base first?
I'm currently melting some hot glue sticks in the bottom of my globe to give if a flat bottom to try and apply the grass stuff to. I may even clue some green felt down. I spent some time watching some of the tutorial videos by the scene-o-rama people on youtube. Of course they didn't have one that related to mine, but I got to see how they used the stuff.

I made a base out of green clay for mine ^^ And then I baked the whole jar, and it was fine Then I sprayed the glue and applied the grass

I didn't have any clay, but I think the hot glue will work. I painted it green after it cooled. I want to try and add fake water to make it look like Gav is standing next to a stream, so I'm have to wait for that to set up tonight then I'll work on it more tomorrow (or Monday). Then I'll add the grass stuff, trees and Gav. Now that the globe is bigger I may add another tree.

Awesome! I thought it might be. Once I get my little figure in I'll have to hit up Hobby Lobby for some of the green stuff and probably a small tree or two. I might look at the dollhouse section and see if they have any little birds.
