MY LITTLE PONIES. This phenomenon has been particularly WEIRD as two people who grew up with buckets of these toys and addicted to the TV series/movies in the 80's. These ponies are back with a vengeance. And we couldn't stop ourselves from drawing them.This print will be premiering this weekend at Anime Boston and is also available in badge form which says 'MLP Fan'!

Okay, that's pretty freaking adorable.
(I'd been having trouble coming to terms with the new art style and toy sculpts myself, I had quite a few of the old school ponies... and I don't know, I guess I fear change? But I'm pretty sure this couldn't be any cuter. Yay ponies!)

It's taken a while for the new designs to grow on me and I def. prefer them animated than in toy form. The new toys still kind of weird me out a bit. Lol. XD

Yeah. The animation might win me over yet, and I do love Lauren Faust, so the show has that going for it, but the new toys are definitely too strange to me.

I didn't watch a lot of the original show because I was too young to honestly remember if I watched it or not
But from what MLP fans have told me, FiM does the fandom justice, even without all of the original characters

I can understand that. A lot of the appeal IS nostalgia, so if you never got into it, the nostalgia isn't there.
Also, I learned this weekend at Anime Boston that part of the reason it's so popular is that 4chan loves it. lol.
