Not a Mortasheen/necromon monster, but a character idea for Vera's monster world, where adorable creatures are born from human suffering!

In life, Frostbite was a blind child born to young, reckless parents who turned him over to his great aunt, who provided him with love, wealth and a seeing-eye dog, his only true friend. All was well until shortly before his eighth birthday, when his guardian succumbed to a heart attack and the state returned him to his parents, now hopelessly addicted to drugs and living in a slum. Over the next four years, his biological parents would sell off his great aunt's estate and blow through the last of his inheritance to feed their various addictions, even selling the last of his toys and clothes.

It was in the dead of winter when his parents at long last attempted to take away his final worldly possession and life-long companion, the dog that had been his very eyes since he had learned to walk. Fleeing with his friend into the streets, he was found by police six days later, wrapped around his cherished pet to shield it from the cold. They had been dead for only hours.

Combining the personalities of both a child and an animal, Frostbite sees the nether realm through rather innocent (and orbiting) eyes, always searching for beings who might show it any ounce of affection despite its involuntary and destructive heat-sucking powers. The happier it feels, the faster it absorbs the warmth around it.
