A drawing of Ariel with her beloved dinglehopper I did for my sister for Christmas last year. Ariel was one of her favorite princesses during childhood. The tail was a lot of fun to draw and color, but admittedly I really struggled with her top half a lot. Big thanks to marmiz for advice on fixing her eyes and her uh, clam bra? Scallop? This turned out swellowellow. What a lovely shiny effect on her not-feet and the water effects on the rocks turned out nice. Now I know they are under the sea! Under the sea! Something something something under the seeeeaaaaa!

Never seen, ever! She shall comb all the dinglehoppers with her dinglehopper! And why do... do... do... nevermind that, for if it is posted on the internet, it must be accepted without a shred of doubt! Never question, never surrender!
Wrong good sir, it is not that a fish eat a people and choke and voila, a mermaid! The story goes that someone lost a bet and had to feast upon regret week with only baked and only mayonnaise rolls. The freeway was rife with Those People who drive 62 mph in the fast lane and the poor victim didn't make it home. But rather than walk home, they decided that in their urgency, they would swim home, and thus, the mermaids are born. In the sea, they never have to worry about walking home from the aftermath because... because... !

Thank you! I have to admit, Disney-esque proportions and facial styles were harder to emulate than I anticipated. I initially had a very different face on her, but realized it just didn't look right and had to look at a bunch of official Ariel art references to at least make her face less uncanny-valley looking haha. I must say though, you do an absolutely fantastic job with your Disney gals series and you always nail the faces and expressions (and poses and hair and outfit flow and well, I could go on and on)! While I always enjoyed your art and admired your skill, after trying my own hand at Ariel, it made me appreciate what you do all the more.
