This is a wild grey heron which was hunting some goldfish in a city parc @ Paris - FranceComments and faves are always appreciated!

Love how the fish is jumping out of the water. The Picture is really clear too! The only problem I see is that the reeds in front are really out of focus. Actually that makes it look better because it puts the focus on the bird. Great Blue Herons are one of my favorite birds. You said that the picture was taken in a park but it looks more like a river, somewhere not in a park. The Placing of the Bird is perfect because it takes up most of the space but is centered too! I'll be sure to favorite it!

With the goldfish's colors, the pic looks almost comical. I love everything about this shot; the exposure, composition, colors, clarity, etc etc etc. Well done.

I've fished a lot of lakes, ponds and rivers, Never once seen a goldfish.
I've seen huge grey carp though, they flourish even in polluted little creeks.

Very nice (although I do feel sorry for the fish). Makes me want to paint it....Actually, you have taken a lot of photos that I'd like to paint. That's a very good thing, as your work provides that sort of inspiration and get-up-and-paint feeling.
I love the sharp contrast between the bright-orange goldfish and the blue-grey heron. Capturing this moment was an excellent photographic achievement.
