This is 2 silver rings I made, and they are the first i have ever made. The plain one I made with a strip of silver, and soldered it to make a band. Had to re-shape it, polish it, etc. Pretty standard process, introductory course to jewellery making. The second, I carved out of wax and had it set in silver. Oxided it (to make the carved parts black) and polished. Quite simple really.Photos of the two on top of each other, and one of me wearing it. You'll notice that i've had trouble washing of a doodle on my hand, so theres some scribbling on my knuckle.

Ooooh, that's cool. I love them. Together, the work so wonderfully! The more detailed piece has a simple, almost primitive, celtic-feeling beauty to it. I'm a mechanical engineer, so I love metal and the manipulation thereof; that means I think this bloody rocks. I'd love to take a class in whitesmithing...

Both of these are great! I'm more partial to the one with detail, but the two together make a nice set. Makes me want to get into jewelry making, but with a VERY limited amount of money, it's hard enough for me to buy film for photography. Again, beautiful rings.
