Kevin, this is just amazing! We fractal artists need to break some of our traditional spiral molds and venture out into the unknown. Janet Parke encourages innovation and creative use of the old methods to get new results. I applaud you for this superb image and intend to it.

The hummingbird is spectacular, and the flowers are very beautiful. I thought the hummer was real when I looked at the thumbnail.

I remember when you submitted the stripped file at Renderosity. I still have it and look at it from time to time for inspiration. Most of it is still over my head though.

Overall I think it's a great image. Only thing I might add would be some subtle textures on the flower petals.
