Description
As soem might remember, there was a moment in the 1971 where Charlie attempts a failed rescue of Augustus form the river. Here, I've done something similar, but added a little more. Instead of a lollipop, I have Charlie use a giant candy-cane. As well, he is being aided by Violet, Mike and Grandpa Joe. Veruca outright refuses to assist. The Gloops are flipping out as usual.Related content

I like seeing Mike and Violet being helpful and kind in this scene along with Charlie. It makes it more sad that horrible things happen to them, but also shows a different side to them. It demonstrates that they are more than just bad kids, and do very much have an oft overlooked human side.

Indeed. I think the 1971 film captured that well. More like normal kids mostly, than caricatures.
