Not directly like in Matrix but really great effect. Would also be nice if that bullett scenes were made in this way

That was realflow + 3ds max I think, or c4d - anywya the liquidy stuff was done in realflow

Hmm a painting, that would be a nice endeavour.
It's 3D, fluid simulation done on a computer, generated a mesh on a computer, light and reflections computer.

I once saw photography experiment with very high speed camers where they captured the bullet in flight as it actually hit its targets (stuff like apples and playing cards).
This kind of reminds me of that. Nice work.
