People have often asked me what are Artifex's morphing capabilities. I've drawn her shapeshifting before, but then I get asked questions on what she can do in terms of "full body morphing". "Can she turn into this?" "Can she turn into that?" "Can she do this?" Honestly I'm thrilled that people have taken such an interest in her, but some of the questions asked are a bit too cringy for me to answer. Not to mention I've said one quote that would answer most if not all these questions, "When it comes to her abilities, Artifex is no different than any other elastic character, and can potentially do similar feats shown before". However, the question people should be asking isn't whether she "can" do a certain feat, but rather "WOULD" she do it. My favorite comparison when it comes to elastic characters is comparing them to the DC Green Lantern Corps, in which the rings are all the same, but what makes them different is how the bearers use them, and what they make with them. It's the same with elastic characters in my opinion, which is why Artifex has a rather different style of morphing, because it's part of her character and personality.

But, enough about my opinion, let's get back to the image above. Here is one of Artifex's many full body morphs in which she turns into a variation of one of her favorite OC characters, an Oni protagonist name Aila. In this form, she increases in size and changes her appearance to appear more monstrous, even giving herself a sporting tail (though she still has some difficulty learning how to control extra limbs like this, as her brain is so used to her normal human anatomy). Along with this appearance, she is much stronger and is capable of smashing a car into a pancake. Her brute strength becomes much more destructive when she morphs one or both of her arms into Aila's weapon of choice, a large kanabo, capable of delivering powerful blows that can send most foes flying with one swing. Now, like all of her full body morphs, she can't maintain this form for long periods of time. Whenever she does complex or large forms, it's similar to you holding a rather complex yoga pose for long time, eventually your body can't take it anymore and must relax. Currently, she can maintain this form for up to a minute, maybe two if she really pushes herself, but eventually she must return to her normal form to rest. Through training however, she will learn how to maintain the form for longer periods of time, but for now, she really only uses it when brute force and intimidation are needed. When I have time, I'll see if I can draw some of her other forms as well, but for now, I hope you enjoyed this pic.
