Description
Here's another reference sheet of my character's costumes and uniforms. This time it's the team's resident, alien space cop, Voo'Han.

As an officer of the Interplanetary Defense Force, Voo'Han is equipped with the latest in law enforcement technology in order to maintain order in a galactic government that consists of thousands of alien races. When the varanians were first being fitted for service, their cold-blooded biology had to be considered, especially if they were going to be sent to planets with colder climates. As such, IDF gave varanians thermal body gloves, which keep their body temperature at optimal levels in colder climates, however when in freezing cold temperatures, such as the artic, additional heating devices are needed. The body glove covers the majority of their bodies, but leaves the hands, feet and tail exposed, this was at the request of the varanians, as they felt it would impede their natural skills as hunters. For defense, varanians are given standard issue, Mark V Ceramoid body armor plating that is magnetically attached to the suit. Ceramoid is a durable, yet lightweight composite that can withstand most projectiles and shrapnel, reducing the wearers chances of being fatality injured.

In addition to his suit, Voo'Han is equipped with an assortment of state-of-the-art alien tech, too many for me to put on this sheet, but I can at least put in the ones he commonly uses. First up is his V-33 High-Powered Semi-Automatic Plasma Pistol, a powerful weapon currently issued only to varanians. While the standard issue V-32 is issued to most IDF officers, the V-33 packs a lot more power in each shot and a recoil that could rival earth's shotgun models, which would be too much for most species in the IDF, except the varanians, who could handle the recoil with ease due to their immense strength. When it comes to restraining a suspect, it can be a bit difficult to use handcuffs on species that don't have hands. So, the IDF give their officers a pack of restraining foam pellets. These pellets, when thrown with adequate force, activate on impact and cover the suspect with a coat of condensed foam that spreads quickly and hardens just as fast, restricting their movement until they can be properly detained. Voo'Han is also given several Tri-Ordinance grenades; these grenades, as their name implies, have three different types of detonations, exlposive for breaching, EMP for disabling electronics, and freezing for putting out fires. Voo'Han's most advanced technology is his universal translator, which can translate the languages of all official member species of the Galactic Government. However, when faced with a new language, such as the languages of Earth, Voo'Han would have to use his MP-Data Pad to download and decipher the languages off of the net, this process takes hours even for an advanced computer system like his, but at the end, he's able to properly communicate with humans. Lastly, we have Allevagel Medical Gun, another standard issue in the IDF. When officers are injured during active duty, they can apply a substance called Allevagel that acts as both a painkiller and a bind to temporarily close up the wound until they can be given proper treatment. This doesn't apply to internal injuries or broken bones, but it remedies most external wounds.

This was a fun pic to do, and a good reference sheet for Voo'Han.
