One big flash back as Jack walks through the new timeline
At first its beach city after the events of Diamond days compared to the future beach when first found it
followed by a summary of everything that happened in the crossover and Jack finally meeting the current timelines Steven Universe
the old one is the one who remained on Homeworld for fifty years in the future and came back using the hourglass and with his timeline gone he, like Ashi, no longer exists

So how did the new timeline start and how did the old timeline go away?

The timeline was created in the show when Jack went back in time and killed Aku which changed the future
The old timeline had the world ruled by Aku but with no Aku to create that future it no longer exists (also in my crossover Aku was indirectly responsible for the shattering of the crystal gems and the two Stevens)
The new timeline is where jack’s wedding and Steven universe’s canon takes place
Old man Steven and the old timeline should no longer exist either just like Ashi from Samurai Jack and those other Stevens from “Steven and the Stevens”

So I'm guessing that after Steven decided to stay on Homeworld, Samurai Jack eventually found a time portal and defeated Aku in the past

Not really, nothing in my comic contradicts anything
Although when I first came up with it I had my own theories on how things would happen and how they’d go and to everyone’s surprise (and my own) I was right
I even correctly predicted the pink Steven thing and my comic with Steven and old Steven refusing into one came out before the diamond days finale with Steven and pink
(I made a meme showing that I was right and what was done differently difference between the show and my comic, see below)

I had to kinda balance it with Samurai Jack's ending but at least wanted to
have some of Steven Universes hopefulness
but out at least it's over now, it was a good run
