It's an interesting thought and something I hadn't considered; Newton (the creator of the pen and ink, his link is in my commentary above) might be interested in having that run past him.

Heres a story im writing!
(check my page for what the dragon looks like!)
Story:
A elder is giving his son a birth-right, a ancient stone jewel surrounded by a dragon of whose origin in unknown.
Should he decides to take it, he life will be changed forever.
"If you don't accept this right, you will be killed once your enemies find you don't have this on you....."
"Doesn't that mean i don't have a choice?"
*The elder smiles at his nephew's observance*
"I guess I have no choice then to take it then....."
*The Nephew takes the dragon pendant and then feel a flow from the pedant seeping into his body."
"Its power, its so.... so intense!"
"Its power will only be available when you really need it."
*The elder then is seen walking through a old curtain door and swooshing of wings is heard from the doorway*
"What was that!"
*the Nephew then looks out the curtain door and sees a ancestral-looking dragon flying into the sky*
"Oh my G-"

*His expressing is cut off by a deafening roar created by the dragon pendant on his neck*
"Arrrrrrgh!!!"
*His muscles start to expand and his shirt starts to rip*
"Ow, that didn't feel to good!"
*He opens his eyes and sees the world in the new way and smells brand new things*
"Woah! I have dragon senses!"

Well, I hadn't thought of that.
But, I'd want to do a separate drawing of Soundwave as a robot-dragon thing. This lil' beastie's seen more than enough action.

I'm hesitant - to what extent do we try to add to what we love? That's the reality of it, I'm 3 and this image has inspired me since I've been 14 - the image was always perfect to me. If I were to ever put in a background, it'd be some of Newton's Atlantis cityscapes, or maybe gliding through the depths of the ocean. Maybe the colour scheme I chose was subconsciously slanted towards the latter.

I started with a background gradient in Photoshop just to set the overall feel, then used Corel Painter Essentials for the watercolour work, and then some final touch-ups again in Photoshop. Happy you like it.

Nope, the Watercolour brushes in Corel create a really neat textured effect.
