Description
Honestly, most of you guys knew that this would be coming up at some point. I used to watch Disney Channel for its variety-programs that enticed the young and teenage demographics. I remember watching good-quality programs like American Dragon Jake Long, Phil of the Future, That's So Raven, The Emperor's New School, The Proud Family, and Kim Possible. Those programs were funny, surprisingly deep, and emotional at the best of times. Then a merry band of douchebags f*cked it all up by playing around with the idea that they could grill-up a new batch of actors by creating shows centered around them, and to make the audience seem interested in them: put in a goddamn LAUGH TRACK to brainwash the viewers into thinking that their characters are funny. Now don't get me wrong about this, I actually liked some of these "D-Coms": specifically Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Wizards of Waverly Place, and Hannah Montana (Before that whole "Miley Ray Cyrus" phase even happened), but the only reason I watched them was because they had a genuine comedic formula to them (I laughed when Zack and Cody ended up going on an adventure to find where a gangster hid his loot inside of the Tipton years ago, accidentally blowing up a hole in the basement to find Gold Bullion and thinking that that was the loot only for a security guard to open a door on the other side and say that stealing from a government bankis a federal offense causing everyone to drop the gold, and eliciting their mother to drop any that she still had, then going *Ahem* and she drops the last of it that she still had on her) that their successors are currently lacking in. (Who in their right mind ever thought that a baby accidentally grabbing a pair of sunglasses inside of a grocery store and warranting said baby to have a mugshot posted and her older siblings being detained by an irate grocery store security officer acting like a wannabe cop is considered funny??).
I'd like to continue watching Disney Channel for it's cartoons, but that's an inherent problem: There ARE no more Disney Channel Cartoons! The only Cartoons I remember being on there last time I checked was Phineas and Ferb (Which does reruns VERY rarely nowadays), and Gravity Falls (Which ONLY seems to come on at least ONCE a week for me, and usually on Friday Nights only!)
Disney is NOT about excessively promoting the same old schtick of "Teen Problems, Teen Problems, Teen Problems", all it does is pander to an audience that doesn't even need such shit like this thrown right at them all of the time. Don't believe me on this, than I dare you to tell me outright that the subsequent plot and/or characters in any of these Disney Channel Sitcoms do not have anything Teen Problem related material in the majority of their episodes, no matter how surreal or wacky it is.
I... I'm done... No point in Disney Channel anymore... I'm tired... Just, rot in Hell... big pile of horse... ballshit...

Yes, I agree with your comments. I use to watch Disney Channel for 18 years then got tired of teens mistreating their parents and friends like white trash. I like your sense of humor in your drawing too!

I'll defend Wizards of Waverly place.
Won't defend any of the others, and I can barely remember a whole lot about Wizards of Waverly place, but I remember it being decent.

I certainly agree with you.Β Man, Walt Disney himself would be rolling in his grave if he knew his company was favoring these garbage teen sitcoms.Β At least he knew how to put quality into live-action as well as animation.Β And to think that the company today can stillΒ produce good live-action stuff ("Saving Mr. Banks", anyone?).
And even the modern shows that seem on par with what I imagine watching as a child are in danger of being cancelled all because of this garbage they call "entertainment".

Good Luck Charlie was 5/10, but the rest pretty much sucked. (Especially Hanna Montana and Dog with a Blog)Β

Yeah most of these shows suck. And I say that because in my opinion all these teen shows are about one thing money. They act and after a while, they quit then go off to become an "actor" or "singer" because they all think they're the next Justin Timberlake or Brittney Spears
