I know right. You know, it would've been nice had they mentioned Pierce's death at least once in the third season. I'm pretty sure that would've been a pretty significant impact on Ben and his team.

I think so, either that or the creators of the show have had it in for this character for a while. The fact that he was apparently dead in the first episode he appeared (in a recording,) and the ways various villains keep mopping the floor with him, something tells me one of the show's creators really hated the guy.
