Description
This is something I can finally post - a game board and pieces I designed for an iPhone/iPad app for an Asian market. I drew the board and pieces with marker. The wood texture and the board's border are also marker, and pattern on the border is from pottery in the Sackler gallery of art. (I can't remember now if it's 1500 years old for from 1500 BC. Either way, pretty damned old.) Colors in Photoshop.

The Chinese characters themselves I drew in Photoshop and then placed over the piece background. (I had a couple of Chinese friends proofread the handwriting.)

The game is Xiangqi, often called in English Chinese Chess. While the game isn't out yet, the client gave permission to post it, so here it is.
