Description
A while ago, while I was thinking up different forms and uses of magic for my fantasy writing, I thought a bit about redirecting energy: counter spells and such. I haven't come across any really good descriptions of it, written or drawn, so I started sketching something.

I used the basis that energy comes in the left side of the body and goes out the right side (or dominant side)- a traditional concept- as well as the Third Eye being the seat of magic. Add in tattoos/runes/glyphs being typical magical thingies, and I came up with this.

Trivia: I was trying to position the runes where the Tefillin are worn (used by Judaic Rabbis during morning service), but its been a long time since I went to a service, and I didn't remember the exact positions. (I reversed the arm and the hand ones; it's worn on the dominant hand and opposite arm.)
