Anyway It's been FOREVER since I've done anything Cetacean related, so apologizes to my watchers who enjoy my Cetaceans
I'll try and draw them more. Anyway I recently adopted this Sperm whale from AkelahNaih Loved the design, quite unique. I decided to make her female and she's most likely going to be Neptune's mother, but I don't have a name for her yet.I am not fully happy how this came out, somewhat rushed and I wasn't in a great state of mind while coloring this. But I didn't expect too much since I've not done this in months. Hope you all like it anyway.

well I think your friend can chill. You draw what you feel and s/he shouldn't assume you can't draw anything else just because you draw what you like to draw or whatever O.o

Don't worry about your friend. Everyone will have an opinion, good or bad. It's only an opinion and it doesn't mean they're right. Just because your art does not meet their taste doesn't mean it's not "serious". Look at Picasso, lol, his work doesn't look "serious".

Whoever dissed your art skills was wrong. I get genuine fear sometimes when I look at the Fearsome Four, especially Benito. Yeah your art has comical moments, but doesn't everyone's at one point or another? Again, whoever said that living machine artwork isn't to be taken seriously needs to just shut up and go sit in the corner because they have no idea what they're talking about. I love your artwork and so does everyone else. As for this wonderful painting of a whale, it's gorgeous! I love it. There is an overwhelming sense of majesty and wonder in its form that speaks to me with more intensity than one thousand suns.

Either way they were not exactly dissing it, I know they like my work and all and they have a way of expressing their selves whenever they comment. But they kind of contradict themselves when I point them out on some subjects. Love the little shit but sometimes can get pretty peeved at them, but that's what happens with friends i guess.

Nice work. Your sperm whale anatomy looks awesome. I love it when people actually take the time to draw these animals properly instead of doodling a rounded square with a tail and eye. The character design is mostly natural looking yet unique and recognizable, too, good find! I'm also impressed by the detail and smoothness of the water-webbing, which is something I see other cetacean artist struggle wit quite a bit. Overall, for the piece's simplicity, its also very well done and a nice character profile image.
