Description
Experimental sketch to see how a traditional ink backing contracts against graphite, turned out better than I thought.A lovely festive razorwing skull for you all to feast your eyes upon and give you nightmares just before that lovely time of year begins *sarcasm* not a big Christmas fan, I'd prefer to draw dark evil skulls so I'll be posting more later! Enjoy

Looks very well done. I really like the soft yet contrasting pencil shading you used here.The dripping black BG makes the skull itself stand out even more without making the picture to dark.
The skull looks very nice from an anatomical aspect as well. It reminds me a little of a Terrorbird with that huge beak
The only thing I'm missing is the depth in the single bone pieces. They look more like thin plates put together than actual bone. Maybe next time, try to make the connections between the wingle bones of the skull more gradual.
I also can't help but want to take a look inside these horns since they must be very lightweight to be supported by such a thinboned skull.

I appreciate your feedback, I think I know what you mean about making the bones more deep, so perhaps give more shading around the edges ect to make them look thicker? I referenced heavily on bird skulls for this so I think I didnt give into account the size difference and I would have to give it more weight next time, your right

Not always, lol. It depends on the angle of the upper bone edge of the eye hole, somehow
