Description
The Radical Republicans were a group of republicans who believed in the abolition of slavery - and the complete equality of the black man with the white man - something quite radical for the day (1860's.) They were also upset that Lincoln wasn't exactly jumping to have black men in his army. Interestingly enough they were also angry at Lincoln (whom we often credit with freeing the slaves) for overturning Fremont's emancipation of all slaves in Missouri. Well since americans are rascist they wound up disappearing after a while. I think they turned into surfers.
