Description When I posted my Anubis pic someone commented and said Anubis was his favourite Ancient Egyptian God and probably because he was born under his sign.

This intrigued me, so I went to find out which was mine.
It wasn't Anubis (although he's still my favourite anyway ), but Toth, the God of sacred writings and wisdom.
He is usually depicted having the head of an ibis.

So I figured I'd give him a go.
Here's my version of him.

I know Hapi is sometimes depicted with the head of a baboon.

I never drew him but if you do a search for "Hapi baboon" on google image search you'll find a bunch.

Love the colors and shading. By the way, the Greek name of Djehuty is usually written as "Thoth," not "Thot." (It is pronounced "Thot.")

I spelled it Toth not Thot
And yeah I know it's often spelled Thoth, I just picked a random one of the popular spellings since DA doesn't support hieroglyphics

I didn't stay very true to the proportions either. The ancient Egyptians tended to put an ibis sized head and neck on a human body which I just couldn't bring myself to do heheh.

Sept 21 seems to be a weird date for any type of astrology. I'm always something different on every site.

How did you figure out what sign you were born under? I've never heard of this before and I want to find out. (I want to find out if I'm born under something cool. I'm a pisces but that just isn't cool. It's boring and I don't even like water!)

I just did a Google search on Egyptian Astrology.
It works the same, with birth dates. Unfortunately it also tends to vary per page with the borderline dates. I've got that problem with the normal zodiac too.
