Yes when I played with Sugi I saw you were playing with someone else, on the multiplayer screen it tells you when your friends are playing

Well when I played it on Java edition it was working fine. And mobs flying through blocks, that might have been the ghasts.

Ah on java edition yes everything's fine, but on bedrock everything's broken, only the new biomes and structures are there

Yeah it was way more complicated back then, if you just want to play on a normal world with people most things I said are useless so don't worry.
