UPDATE #1just playing with shines.... not too great, but will make progress.
also took the time to make a decent thumbnail.

an almost finished long asked request for ~BarrelGirl101 ...
although it took me almost an year to get started, now it's almost done! phew!
aaaaniway.... this was done the usual way, starting with a Pivot animation that gave the skeleton for the horse, blah blah blah and after several hours of works, then voilá!
there are still some shadows and shines missing, but i thought i'd better post it as it is, in case something comes up and stops me from doing my work again.
anywho, updates coming soon, hopefully.

yeah, you asked for a chocolate bay with black mane and tail, and two white hind stockings.
a background would be easy, but i haven't tried tack and rider yet. it could take a bit longer...
but just tell me what you want and i'll se what i can do!

I must say that he looks amazing! Very good job on the animation, the movements are wonderfuly done. The coloring and shades and shines are perfectly done and in time with his movements. Very good job.

well, the only way i can teach you is MY way of doing things.
i always start with this program, Pivot Stickfigure Animator (instructions to get it at the comments here -> [link] ), making an animation that looks more or less like you want it to (a lot less prettier, though
then i take Screenshots of each Pivot frame, so i can see the dots that indicate each of the horse's joints.
then with photoshop (or paper and pencil, if that's you case) i use those dots to figure out the skeleton and draw the horse's flesh and hair and such.
this way you don't have problems with limbs that change length, or body parts that change volume.
after this first step of the pivot animation, everything is up to your drawing skils...
