One more upload before I g to bed... Colchester zoo's amazing male andean condor!He was actually doing a display when I took this, holding his head out and spreading his massive wings, while turning around in circle on the spot, while whistling or doing whatever noise it is they make. Was ace to see, I hope they find him a lady friend soon to appreciate it!
Hate the noisy backround but couldn't do anything about it if I wanted to catch this profile shot >.<

Whenever I look at an Andean Condor, I'm torn between thinking 'wow these things look weird!' and just being totally overwhelmed by their sheer size and majestic-ness

hehe one of the teenagers looking at him thought he was a turkey! silly person, he was tearing apart his dinner at that point, turkey's don't do that!

That is an ugly bird if ever I saw one!! I appreciate them for the size and awesomeness, but can't say they're one of my favourites

We couldn't hear him, but you could see his beak and throat moving so he must have been making some kind of noise even if it was really subtle. They are just... massive!
