Iยดve just saw a docummental on Animal Planet about illegal killing of tigers and other big cats for commercial purposes on the black market. It shocked me to watch how a bunch of guys shooted right to the head of the tigers without feeling even a little of remorse. It was horrible to see how they killed beautiful and magnificents animals like this, I couldnยดt hold my tears back. Tigers are my favorite animal and this is a wonderful capture of one of them.

It is awful and sad that people still hunt tigers. Unfortunatly its not just tigers that are unfairly and cruelly hunted, and it makes me sad too

Yes, whales, dolphins, seals and many other animals are hunted as well. You are so lucky to be able to study and spend time with all these wonderful animals.

thanks! She really doesn't like the public I think, she was watching me for like 15 minutes solid when I started shooting her. I was the only person around (it was close to closing time) so I think she's only happy when she's in her cave when people are around. She did eventually relax a bit but everytime I moved she'd watch what I was doing!

hehe there are two, a brother and sister sumatran tiger pair (tibor and chandra). The zoo is waiting to find good matches in the studbook so they can breed them.
They used to have a mated pair of amur tigers, which had cubs, but these where moved to highland's wildlife park when Ed. zoo bought it as a second site
they also have mated pairs of amur leopards and jaguars there, as well as pallas cats and asian golden cats!
