Here is another test map I came up with a few months back, I just forgot about it. Given that this map was made as a test rather than an official map with a proper backstory, the back stories for both nations on the map are mundane. Like I really do not like the backstories for them imo (I did poop them out after all). Anyway, I hope you like the map, feedback is appreciated. I am still trying to solidify my preferred map making style, so expect some more test maps before I actually begin to make official maps of events and alternate history.(Since I like the idea of a Divided Japan, I will probably remake this map in the future, after I get some other ideas out of the way)

Yeah, this event took place during Operation Downfall. The Soviets basically steamrolled everything, however the invasion of Japan happened too late, and the US plus allies got to Tokyo before them. The Original idea was just an Independent "People's Republic of Ezo" (named after the historic Republic of Ezo), but I decided to give them more land.Β
For this scenario to work fully however, the Emperor of Japan must have been bonkers, plus the Atomic Bombs had to be used on Germany (Let's say D-day didn't get well or something)Β
OH boy, all things I failed to mention. The Alt-History was rushed I do admit, it delayed the map so long XD.Β

Yeah, Japan would never become Socialist imo. That's why I envisioned Northern Japan as a Soviet style communist state established from a Soviet Occupation of the Northern areas.
