A few minutes later, Krystal told Richard about Cedric’s training.

Richard crossed his arms. “I agree with you and I’ll be sure the Practice Dimension is ready. I’ll also be ready to teach any spells I can to my nephew. However, I’m a bit worried.”

Krystal blinked, surprised. “Why?”

Richard sighed. “Because Cedric will be Jack of All Trades. He’ll be able to fight as a warrior, but not as good as one. He’ll also be able to cast both offensive and defensive spells (as well as some support spells), but not as good as a dedicated spellcaster.”

“I see,” said Krystal. “However, that means Cedric will be flexible and that’s very important. I know that because my training in Star Fox included not only piloting, but also hand to hand combat and how to use many weapons. Fox told me that’s because you never know what enemy you may encounter in the future.”

“I believe the same could apply to Cedric: we don’t know what enemy he could face, and we don’t know if we could be there to help him if it happens.”

Richard chuckled. “You’re right, Krystal.”
