Okay, not really, but I like to pretend a little bit.

For this one Gerald is portrayed as a (Ta-da!) Sports newscaster for the Sports News Network. I like the idea of it as he gets to not only tell stories, but also to speak on the subjects he likes (people and sports). All while looking very natty-datty in his suit and suspenders.

The blue with the red was chosen because, well, why should I ruin such a winning combination that he's worn for so long? But with the blue dominate I wanted to point out the change of personality as he's grown up, where the blue is more subtle and the red is less ostentatious...all while still pulling off the lucky number 33 that he seems to bear so well.

Looking like this, I imagine Phoebe watches sports ever night, never mind the fact that she's not really a fan in any way, shape, or form. *grins*

Gerald belongs to Craig Bartlett and Nickelodeon. Ka-chow!

Oh! As a note, this was inspired by the thought of growing up and growing older again. Because, honestly, Hey Arnold came out in 1996 when I was nine years old. The same as the characters. Which means that if they had been allowed to age properly they would have all been 24 by now...and adults, pursuing occupations and life goals, etcetera.

So this one and the Arnold pic are the end result of that inspiration.
