When I first look, it appears to be a "normal" eye, then it's as though I do a double-take: hold on, there's something really off here. So the disturbing thing to me is something that at first appears ordinary turns out to be quite the opposite.
It's a beautifully crafted piece - so well done that the surrealness is not at first apparent.
