Oh my ode to the tough chicks.

Too frequently in popular media, I see the baddest of Lady asses being downgraded in their bad-assery.

I don't know why people find the need to attribute to every strong woman a bevy of severe emotional problems, or the proclivity to suddenly transform into a scared and impotent weakling when the story comes to a climax.

Even some of my favorites are the worst offenders. Chun Li is the original hard kicking bad ass. but whenever any animation studio or mangaka are tasked with portraying her, she always ends up fainting or crying, and needing to be saved by the cool head, or simmering rage of her broad-shouldered male counterparts.

When I play Streetfighter, Chun-li beats Bison

And if they aren't falling apart at the stories close, they are characterized as a quick tempered, short cropped, man-woman with her breasts taped down who dies in an impotent attempt to stave off the enemy charge.

There is definitely something cool about this character, sure. But she always dies....how lame is that? and why is her toughness achieve by wishing she were a dude?

Lets turn this around! Show me your bad ass babes who need no rescue!

and if any cliched heroes get pissed at a strong, sexy, independent heroine, they can do as Mokushi says;
