I so completely agree! Though I don't think he's going to destroy all of Konoha. Kishi is trying to keep him in character, and he's shown many times that Sasuke refuses to kill unless it's completely necessary, Especially innocent people. He never ordered the members of the former Hebi to kill. He simply wanted to immobilize people so he can continue on with his ambition. I've become quite angry with the village elders over the past chapters, and I think what Sasuke is doing is good.

I agree fully with your statement, as much as I too would like Sasuke to return and apologize. It's not in his character to consider things rationally, and I think this decision he made was perfectly in character.

me too..as the founder of the pro-kishi's plot direction fanclub on narutoforums i have to agree with you, sasuke's attitude is makes perfect sense.
To bash kishimoto over such a thing just shows that can't handle how the author wants to treat his own character..

That's the thing: While some people are saying what THEY would do in that situation, they must realize this; Sasuke's life was turned upside down, all because of Konoha. Sure the Uchihas' planned a coup, and sure, Itachi killed them to protect the peace, but if Konoha hadn't been the way they were in the first place, Itachi would have never had to do the terrible things he did. Itachi was, in essence, a tool. Misguided or not, Sasuke wants justice, and for once in my entire time reading the Naruto Manga, I feel as though hes' right. Though he's taking it to the extreme, I feel as though killing Danzo and the elders is fine enough. You see, Sasuke's character is that of the confused boy unable to tell right from wrong, and though he's doing wrong now, it's just another part of his character.

I think it was just about then.. but remeber right after the chunnin exam, when he and Naruto were fighting Gaara, he was kinda nice to Naruto and worried about him.. i really liked him back then. I liked him in the beginning of Shippuuden too, when he first met with Naruto, Sai, yamato and Sakura.. so strong *admires* .

Finally, someone that makes sense. Everyone else is all like, "LOL Sasgay's evil now with his gay Sharingan" instead of considering it from Sasuke's point of view. >__> But you're totally right, Sasuke's confused, he's not evil. He's doing what, from his point of view, is the right thing to do.

I've always found that blindly hating characters makes you unable to see a greater significance they hold. For that reason, I hate no character from the Naruto universe. I may dislike some, but I don't let that impair my judgment.
And as much as Sasuke is among the characters I'm not so fond of, I'm not among the people who think the mangas' sudden focus on him is bad. Sasuke is an important asset to Narutos' story, and without developing him, when Naruto finally does overcome him (or doesn't, depending on the twists taken), Naruto would have an empty triumph.
I also don't think Sasuke's a mary sue, or rather the PROPER term for males, Gary Stu. He may qualify dangerously close to the rank of Stu, but I once performed a litmus test for him based on all of the information he had, including interviews with Kishimoto.
And believe it or not, Naruto ranks a 47 on the litmus test, ranking up to 'Uber Stu', while my results on Sasuke only gave a 28.
I just wish some fans would learn to appreciate story telling and stop complaining. V_V

I agree. It gets so annoying when people always complain about the story, I mean, if you don't like the manga, don't read it, sheesh. Also, I totally believe that Naruto is more of a Gary Stu than Sasuke, I've been thinking that for a while now. XD

Hm. And even then with Naruto being a Gary Stu, that doesn't mean I dislike him. Hell, the term Gary Stu just means a highly unlikely or often used type of character. It doesn't mean bad.
All of the 'Stu' accusations are just minor to major traits used in the terminology. I'm a firm supporter of the proper use of words, so I find that to be bull. Also, 'emo' is way overused when describing Sasuke, and inaccurate. Emos want people to feel sorry for them. Sasuke couldn't give less of a care what others think of him, so it's pointless calling him emo. Angst is the proper term. Wouldn't you agree?

Actually, Sasuke could be trying to both trick Madara AND get revenge on the elders and Danzo. Maybe saying he'd destroy Konoha was a way to get Madara to help.
