Nice work. I hate how stupid Sasuke is though. I'm not too crazy about his Mangekyou Sharingan either... I think Madara has the coolest one. Sasuke kills me with how easily he's manipuulated, they basically don't even have to try to get him to do something stupid, so much as just nudge him and say "Do it." I'd also really like to know how he intends to destroy Konoha with only four people. Anyway great work >.> . I'm not good at drawing Naruto characters at all for some reason. I admire the fact that you can color. Haha. I suck at coloring >.>

but nevertheless, yes I have said this to a few other fanartists who have made the front page.
Especially the artist who traces the original art and puts no effort at all to make it look like they put time in it. I forgot their username but they claimed it was "vector" art but it looked exactly like the offical art.

to tell the truth I dont really care if it's popular or not... I just use fanart to practice my art skills, step by step.
even some great artist such as da vinci did some trace sketch of other's... fyi.
you know what, to master a skill, first you must lean how to copy from the person who is better than you. learn your mistakes, improve it... and become better in the future.
I did my own original art too... but I'll wait till I become really popular here to submit it so that many more people have the chance to see it and give their comments.
It's normal in the artist world. If you're not popular, no one knows your work.

Yeah I do some fanart every once in the while if I'm having an art block or something. Whenever i do fanart I like rendering ir differently from the original so I can practice certain things that I want to try out.
Like you said, doing fanart does improve your own art skills.
And yes you do learn from other people's art. I learn from a lot of artists on here and have much more to learn still.

The artist has no control over the fact the deviation is on the front page, lots of people obviously like SD's work regardless if it is original or fanart and just because this is fanart doesn't mean that it isnt creative. You can't tell people that their work isn't good just because it isn't original and creative. The fact is that there are many artists out there who are quite talented and channel some of those talents into fanart - it's a creative response to something they have seen, and isn't that what art is?
Simple solution: If you don't like it, then don't view it - simple as that.

I just wish people were so fan girl/boy about certain animes. It just gets annoying seeing certain characters on the front page all the time. scratch that, most of the time. Cause there are times when naruto and bleach aren't on the front.

I can get what you mean - and you're not the only one getting annoyed that certain characters from certain animes are being featured so prominently of late, but that's only because there has been heaps of discussion about the events in the manga recently (mainly about the story now dragging out a bit too long but you get that with such long-running manga such as Naruto and Bleach). At least this deviation wasn't a recolour of manga scenes (which there have been alot of lately...)
