In my printmaking class at uni we're doing lino printing, we got to pick any image, and surprise surprise I picked muse. I have to draw 3 versions of the image as process work, and pick my favorite. Well I'm cheating a bit, I created this vector of the image and I'm just going to trace this image and create 3 drawing versions from this vector. I would love to just use 3 vectors as I can create a better/sharper image this way, but they want us to hand draw, so this step will just be an extra to my process work.Related content

yeah well you have the best prints ever...i was wondering if I could i could use some of your prints for my support studies in my art class, you would get full credit. Its just im in 1rst year(im 12) and we have to do a small piece on our fav print artist, and your prints are by far my fav from any ive ever seen (keep in mind i have sat in a classroom staring at 22 books filled to the brim with prints).I love all your work and would love to do the piece about you.

This is really great! I was just trying to figure out the other day to do shading like this in vectors, but it kept on coming out funny. I like it, it's black and white comic book style. I love muse, and this looks really great. Hopefully my next attempt looks as good as this! And I hate it when people bug me on perspectives like this, because if his hand is close to the camera lens in the pic, OBVIOUSLY his hand is gonna look bigger! The same thing happened to me, and everyone just wouldn't shut up O_O

lol yea i know, and matt does have pretty big hands any ways, being a brilliant pianist and all, so uyea it just kinda seemed extremely large. but ah well it actually is in poerspective, thanks for that. yea the line shading thing took me a little while to handle, but it's become my main style of vectoring, i have a few other vectors in this style in my gallery if ya wanna snoop.

the hands are exactly the same size as the photo, the exact proportions, i just traced it pretty much off the original image, memba matt bellamy does have abnormally large hands...he he but yea i was proud of it!

i know it was an awesome photo to work with! oh how i love his hands! although they are all pulling really strange faces in it....he he but yea this should look really cool as a lino print. I'll scan in the prints once I do them!
