Description This was Concept/Commission #12

Concept was for a Massive double barreled Pistol firing what is in essence a Miniaturized WH40K bolt like projectile (may upload that detail & cut away image later).

Though I'm quite proud of some parts of this image, some of it still irks me and I'll probably be nitpicking on parts into infinity. Projectile is 21x60mm Gyrojet round with a cartridge based Kicker/Ignitor/Unseating charge.

Very nice design, flawless execution. You also seem quite knowledgeable in real world ballistics. I salute you.

.... Does it come in a Four barreled style?

Or as a magazine fed rifle? XD

Also what the hell woudl ever require that kind of personal fire power? people in powered armor?

Jesus, I could only imagine the immense recoil and every bone in your arm turning to dust.

I recognize the shark-tooth round from your cutaway example, but what ammo types are the other three?

Overall looks good.

Only thing I see that looks funky is the thumb safety on most handguns has the safe position as up, and the down position as fire.

It would be up to you whether you think the all the way down (gross motor movement) position is better for double fire or single.

Seems with the scale and such this would probably be a lot like a .500 S&W or .454 Casul. Maybe even a .270 rifle cartridge being fired out of a revolver (such weapons exist). So not unmanageable even in dual fire.

Elements of short barrelled Cinergy there. I always did like over and under shotguns, still, I love the idea of Rifle cartridges instead.

I am amazed you recognized the Cynergy references in it, good spotting.

It'd just about break your arm to fire that thing unassisted (or at least it'd feel like that), but man-o-man would that leave a mark on the target, and by "mark" I mean "gigantic hole".

Great work as always, sir. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Surprisingly little recoil ( well compared to what it could be, considering the size) due it the fact the majority of the rounds acceleration happens after it leaves the barrel by means of venting propellant gas via three canted vents at the end of the barrel (ala Gyrojet). This means the weapon is actually more dangerous (more velocity, more joules) Over fifty meters than it is over ten.

The actual 'charge' of gunpowder in the case is only like 36 grains worth (IIRC) this is enough to force it down the barrel and out the muzzle at about the same velocity as a .45 ACP round... now I'm not saying this wont hurt, but it was also designed for a plus sized individual with suitably strong wrists and training. (For size reference the rim of each cartridge is 25mm.)

Thank you for the Compliment... reminds me I should post the Projectile cut away as well.
