Description
A bit ago I hinted onto what my next piece was going to be, and so here it is.I thought, since I've already completed some guitar art, why not try a skateboard? The only problem was being able to find a blank skateboard that wasn't going to cost me an arm and maybe some fingers.
For this piece I used india ink and white acrylic and then splashed on the polyurethane.
Not sure if I'll do any more of these but if the demand is there I would be glad to oblige.

hey thats awesome! Great inspiration
I tried painting some skateboards - I've got a (pretty much) unlimited supply because my brother gets through them so fast! Don't think he'd be so obliging to let me near his guitar though!

does the india ink soak into the wood or something? ive never used india ink but it seems like it would be cool.

Surprisingly no. It gives it a nice burnt in look if applied right.

ah. but does it smear? the only reason i ask is because after looking at all the work youve done on wood i figured it would be kinda cool to try some myself. its just a medium that would seem pretty fun if not anything else.

No smearing as long as you give it a sec or two to dry. patience is important with wood painting I look forward to seeing some of your new ventures on here.

*Shrugs shoulders* Makes sense to me. Destruction seems to make everything look better.

Wow. . . My skateboard is pretty banged up. If I had you paint it, I'd probablly get it all banged up again! I've got a cheap $10 Maple from Toys-R-Us. But hell, it works. . . right? Lol. . . I love this. . . hell, I love your whole style! God, I envy you!

I'd dread to step on it, but the dirt would make it look even greater.

That is so incredibly amazing. And I thought your guitars were cool (and they still are) but man you went above and beyond with this. Too bad I'm not a skateborder. D:

how much did the blank cost you? gonna guess about 25-30, so I'll give you 60.

I know you don't live around here...But out here in Boston my friend a few weeks ago got about 5 blank black skateboard decks for roughly 65 dollars...So I know you can get them, I'm just not sure about where you are...But anyways that looks sick...

Depending on the quality of the deck, I'd buy it if I had the money.
