The style looks a bit Sonic-oriented, or is it just because Klonoa looks too much like a Sonic OC?

That was pretty much Namco's intention back in the 2000s. At least I think so. Though, Klonoa doesn't canonically have a super form, nor is he unclothed. That's all my doing.
Even so, Klonoa's canon design and my unclothed/super form design of him can be attributed to just about any other other cartoon character with oval eyes as well as Dragonball. Sonic did not invent these tropes. He merely popularized them and that's it. And that's my stance on this.
