EDIT 7/13/10: Yay, I placed 1st! This contest was so much fun, and I hope I'll find time to enter another in the future. ^^Contest piece for =Wolfren89 's Patch the Rain contest. Sorry it took so long to get this up. DDD:
The theme was the poem by the same name, which I have copy-pasted below. We were to illustrate the poem as we saw fit. : D
I apologize, as always for the poor quality of the photo. The scanner hates colour, so I had to take a photo... and have *nonobadpup save it from the awful yucky yellow light. ;__;
This is still only my second marker piece, but it was fun.
Patch the Rain

Reach up and sew on the blue
Patch the Rain and I'll Take you there
To a place we can be true
And no one can ever care
Take a needle take some thread
If you focus and be clear
Use the blue and leave the red
Though you're far and I'm near
If the shades can match for us two
Though you're here and I'm there
Close our eyes and take in the blue
Our thoughts can reach all through the air
Reach up and sew on the blue
Patch the Rain and I'll Take you there
To a place we can be true
And no one can ever care
