Chapter 523: Nubian Ha'tak Pyramids

Jaffa Master and secret Jaffa Rebek Bra’tac was on the world of Khartoum, that once had served under Atum, a minor Goa’uld System Lord, back then a rising powerful Lord and later rival of Apophis, one of the first gods of Egypt, served by First Prime Arkad.Bra’tak knew that the world was named after Atum, the Abode of Atum, Agartum before System Lord Allah had later taken it and renamed it Khartoum. Settled by ethnic Setyu/ Psdtyw (Nubians) the population of the world was dark skinned human Tar and Jaffa. The Agartumians or Khartoumians were therefor known as having gotten harsh and hardened on their savanna and desert world, living near it’s rivers, oasis, lakes and coastlines. They were known under Atum and Allah alike as feared guerrilla fighters, skilled marksmen and even often served other Goa’uld as mercenaries because of their prestigious reputation. Under Atum they had some of the most superior Trinium armor covering their neck, torso and even parts of the legs with the skirt part, something that would later become standard for all heavily armed Jaffa Guards and Elites of all Goa’uld. Bra’tac however was here because the old world was center of something else entirely, a ship that in modern times could be seen as a mix between Al’kesh and later Pyramid Ha’tak. There in the capital off Agartumnixt/ Agartumpolis/ Agartumcity the worlds capital the last so called Nubian Ha’tak Pyramids rested in between formerly bigger dockyard, barracks, quarters, graveyard, tombs, market place, the slave market, local minority quarter as well as ancient ruins and remains. Having fallen out of power and influence, just like most of the main Nubian Goa’uld Gods of Anhur, Apedemak, Arensnuphis, Dedun, Mandulis, Sebiumeker and the Goddesses Amesemi and Menhit among others. These by now old, outdated Nubian Ha’tak Pyramids were smaller in their overall ground size, but made up for some of this by being much taller towards their pyramid tip. Not as powerful as other normal Goa’uld Ha’tak Pyramid ship classes, they also emerged out of the original step-pyramid models that were designed after the first step pyramid Ha’tak, that themselves were designed after the conning tower pyramid of Ancient ships like the Aurora-class, Destiny and others.

These step-pyramids were the precursor class of later more pyramid shaped Ha’tak and so the higher Nubian-class Pyramid Ha’tak and the Cheops-class Pyramid Ha’tak alongside many other similar models emerging out of the original first step-pyramid Ha’tak, all coming with their own landing-platform pyramids as well. As they were steeper with higher points, their overall shape and that of their landing pyramids meant that they looked more like a mix between an obelisk and a pyramid, then a true pyramid themselves. Not as powerful as later Cheops-class Pyramid Ha’tak, the Nubian Goa’uld therefore used more of them to have similar fleet powers then their rivals, 0 on three major construction world. Thanks to their much steeper pyramid angle these Nubian-class Pyramid Ha’tak were also the first to regularly use transportation rings between levels, because they were so small and high, meaning if energy was lost, much of it’s crew was stuck without additional corridors to get from one level to another. Used by Atum, Apophis, Olokun, Baal and Ra trough building, or capturing them, only about 240 survived into modern times. Only around 220 of the Nubian Pyramid Ha’tak looked at all like they would function in any way, shape and form and the Free Jaffa, disguised as local Guards had used internal crystals and materials stealthy, to repair this since centuries unused, leading to them to be slowly decaying, falling apart, or even used for building materials in the capital city, or even newer, mode advanced modern Ha’tak, as the materials and building parts for them were costly and so most Goa’uld had not even one, while powerful Lords and System Lords could afford a few dozen, hundred or thousands in chase of the Supreme System Lord. As only later Goa’uld Ha’tak pyramid ship classes would adapt the ring-structure to emulate the perfect-shape of massive city-ship like Atlantis, so that two of it’s three sides could always face and fire upon the enemy, or use it’s main armor on two sides of their three to withstand attacks longer. For months Bra’tak and his fellow Free Jaffa had posed as guards of the old ruins, pyramids, and Nubian-class Pyramid Ha’tak had lead to them being able to repair a total of 74 secretly in total, before manning them with other Free Jaffa and escaping Agartum/ Khartoum, while also blasting the remaining Nubian-class Pyramid Ha’tak on the world, as well as their local Goa’uld Lord within his temple-palace, leaving the world to be soon conquered by a rivaling Goa’uld.
