Since I've wanted to animate for the longest time, I found some tutorials on DA and on Google to get started. And I chose one of the easiest practices. (Not the ball one. Just a random eye blinking.) xDDIt's pretty pathetic, I know. But oh well.

I just used Adobe Photoshop Elements 6. Apparently, you can make .gifs on there, too.
