I think itβs really interesting to see him sad or crying since SEGA apparently wonβt let him emote like this in the games.

Hmm...maybe.
I can headcanon that Sonic is all optimistic and adventure-loving and stuff on the outside, but truly confused and maybe even depressed on the inside and sometimes has self-worth issues (as in, he sometimes feels like heβll never be the best that he wants to be). It makes him feel more natural, more down-to-earth, more relatable, and more realistic, yβknow? I mean, heβs only 15 years old, and almost every teenager has self-worth issues at some point in their life. Just some food for thought...
