Description
DescriptionI never feel right making tutorials because, I don't consider myself a very advanced user of Photoshop. I never feel like I'm in the right place telling other people how to do it.And I know this isn't an advanced tutorial, but many people don't know how to do this. I also know there are other tutorials out there explaining this exact same thing. . .
I was asked recently how to get the white off sketch images and it reminded me of how often I really am asked that. So have a tutorial for everyone in the future who needs to know.

You can use this method in Photoshop earlier than 7. I've been using it in 5.5 for years. Granted, I usually delete the white off the original rather than inversing and filling, but you can still do it this way.

There's an extra step though, if you delete the white, at least in 5.5, because the edges and thin parts get a bit faint. You lock the transparency and go over with a brush of whatever color and they'll darken up again.

Wow, thank you so much for making this. I had no idea you could do that and always wondered how. Before this all I would use is the Multiply layer option but I couldn't figure out how to change the colour of my lines. Thanks once again!

Hurhur.
The simpler tutorials are always the most needed ones since people assume that because they're simple, it's obvious.
Thank you~
