I really tried to make the effort to like Eragon when it first came out (please refer back to the crinkled nose of horror expression somewhere about the middle of the tutorial). Unfortunately I still could not get through the first two chapters of the first book even after three tries. I sympathize greatly with that expression. I wanted to like it since the guy was home schooled (lo, so was I!), and I liked fantasy . . . but the kid couldn't write worth beans. Hopefully his writing got better with future books, but I'm not sitting around to waste a few hours to read them.
Great tutorial, by the way, very helpful! ^.^

Really? I loved it...but that was a while ago, and come to think of it...I'm not sure why I liked it so much. I walked out of the movie after the first ten minutes. XDD
But it's not a very original book at all.
I don't know. I thought I liked it. O-o

This is absolutely wonderful! I just read about it in =ctJemm 's new article, TutCommentary Part ONE and I'm happy I did. She wasn't lying when she said it was funny as hell too. Always good to giggle while you learn!
Many thanks for making this available to us, I certainly appreciate it.

Don't read it XC I've never seen the movie but the book is one of the worst I've ever had the displeasure of reading.

Glimmer-Dragon In reply to shingworks [2008-11-07 19:55:08 +0000 UTC]
That bad eh? I supose so the name is blaintently a rip off of Aragon same name basicly if you exchange the E for an A that says a lot about the Author.
The only fantasy I read is Terry Pratchett ^___^

shingworks In reply to Glimmer-Dragon [2008-11-07 20:14:31 +0000 UTC]
Aragon? You might be mispelling the word Aragorn, from LoTR... As for Eragon, I think its supposed to be Dragon except with an E for a D, which also says a lot about the author seeing that the book is about a dragon T__T ugh

Glimmer-Dragon In reply to shingworks [2008-11-07 21:26:49 +0000 UTC]
Never made the Eragon-Dragon bit my spelling is bad but the way the two names Aragorn and Eragon are said is almost the same cept for the E replacing the A o.0
