Description
A tutorial for making shadowy gem like figures using gimp. I will post a link to G'IMC later.was asking how I had made [link] So I made a tutorial.
If you use it I would love to see what you make!

I've unzipped it and opened up the folder to the gmic app file when I click to run that it doesn't run and gives me missing dll or unable to start

Oh, you need to put the gimc stuff in the plugins folder for gimp, and accsess it like you would the other filters.

OH! *facepalm* I have no idea why I was thinking I had to like install it. I downloaded one I think a year ago.

No I haven't been able to find the gmic option when using gimp

Which version of GIMP do you have? And did you put it in the Plugins folder?

Ah that might be the problem. I have several copies of gimp and the only one GMIC works on is the 2.8 I have not idea why though.

Your welcome, and I bet I will. I stumbled across this after making my quilava wallpapers, and then I forgot how to do it. Luckily I still had a copy of the wallpaper in xcf form. From there I was able to back track, but when I first tried to recreate it I was stumped.
