This is why patience is a virtue: if you wander a given route/cave/whatever long enough, you're bound to get a few Shiny Pokemon.

Wow I always think of that when I use repels, but then a zubat, geodude, pidgey, zigzagoon, etc. pops up and the repels come out

Esta sensacion y lo que paso en el LP de Chuggaaconroy [link] son las razones por las que no uso repels a menos de que ya este medio muerto y quiera salir de una vez, o que este buscando un legendario como Entei
Aunque, la sensacion de que te podes estar perdiendo un shiny por usar un repel no es tan mala como encontrarte un shiny en una zona safari

i only use repel in caves back in fourth gen, i never used any in fifth... maybe because the game as a whole is better designed, maybe because the pokemon were more interesting. but i do remember legit buying 999 max repels in fourth gen and only 3 that i never used in fifth
