I dunno... some of the dialog in the cartoon gives off a lot of mixed signals but what sealed me in for petobear was the head master bit and Dan was "inside" of Arcee. That just kinda creeped me out xD
Maybe she was just super lonely since those bone heads she hangs out with never actually make a move on her. Humph...MEN!! xDD
