It is a beautiful capture. I would like to know how you pulled this off. Can you point me to a tutorial that would help me? Thanks.

all what you need is an off camera flash , thats all
i took it using canon 430 flash with sigma 70-300 , in a dark room with almost no light ( just small light to know where is the camera )
set the camera shutter to 3 sec for example , throw the lemon in the water , trigger the flash as it hit the water
it needs some practising , but it worth
am ready to answer any further questions , ill be glad to help

One more question - what container did you used to hold the water?
Unfortunately, I don't have any fancy camera, just a straight point and shoot Canon Powershot A590 IS model. It's my dream to own a Rebel or something similar to it.

maybe you need something deeper than 15 cm , so it will give you more freedom controlling the splashes , i have it about 60x40x30 but its too large , you dont need such size
regarding the camera it preferable to have dslr , but that doesnt mean you cant achieve similar results , there is a relatively cheap flash called Yngnuo yn-460 and it has a function which is called slave mode , maybe you can try it if you are interested
best regards

thank you for your comment
well , i used off camera flash (canon 430) with sigma 70-300 in a dark room without any light in it
shutter speed was 3 seconds so i can trigger the flash manually as i want
it needs some practising , because you cant achieve what you want exactly , i almost took 100 pic before achieving this result
